Learning to read in the early years: Risk and protective factors and the role of digital tools.
Portugal; 9 – 16 July 2025
The National READy Training Course was designed for primary school teachers, aiming to deepen their understanding of the risk and protective factors associated with literacy acquisition, and to support effective intervention in early literacy difficulties. Over the course of four modules, participants will explore early signs of reading difficulties, the influence of social and cognitive contexts, and the role of digital tools in promoting literacy. Blending theory with practical approaches, the course equips teachers to identify challenges, adapt teaching strategies, and enhance learning opportunities, fostering literacy across diverse educational settings.
