Our Institution It is made up of the basic schools of 1st Cycle, Pintora Maluda, Dr. Nuno Cordeiro Ferreira, Maria da Luz de Deus Ramos, Padre José Manuel Rocha e Melo (all with kindergarten) and Escola Básica 2.3 of Alto do Lumiar, headquarters school. Since 2010, it has been part of the Educational Territories of Priority Intervention (TEIP) program. Tree specialized support units for the education of students with multideficiency (UAE) and congenital deaf-blindness, of 1st and 2nd cycles, are in operation at the Escola Básica Padre José Manuel Rocha e Melo and another one of 1st cycle in Escola Básica Pintora Maluda.

The Center for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte) is one of the research units of the alliance that represents the SocioDigital Lab for Public Policy (SocioDigitalLab) and is part of Iscte's School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSSH) that conducts excellent research and is closely linked to the Department of Social and Organizational Psychology of Iscte (DEPSO), and its Laboratory of Social and Organizational Psychology (LAPSO). CIS-Iscte hosts 50 PhD researchers, 50 doctoral students, 7 research staff, and is organized in four thematic research groups: Behaviour, Emotion & Cognition (BEC), Community, Education & Development (CED), Health4All: A psychosocial approach to health (H4A), and Psychology of Societal Change (PsyChange).
